This was a great infographic; after all, if you’re going to install an irrigation system you want it to be as efficient as possible. Part of that definitely would involve installing a rain sensor like you suggest. That way you don’t accidentally end up over-watering your lawn.

This was a very fascinating read and I like the infographic you included that goes over the different ways that you can improve the efficiency of your irrigation system. I particularly like the suggestion you make about slowing the flow so that the water doesn’t just end up in the street. After all, if you have a water sprinkler system on full blast then you’re probably going to lose a lot of it to the sewer drains.

You made a good point when you said that a sprinkler repair company should be able to provide you a detailed explanation once you let them know the problems in your sprinkler system. My husband said that there must be something wrong with the sprinkler system that’s installed in our garden because it keeps on leaking water. I want to understand what caused the problem, and what’s the best way to repair it, so I’ll consider all your tips.

I didn’t know that there was an Irrigation Association, though I’ll have to make sure that the service I choose for my lawn is qualified for the EPA Water Sense Program like you said. I’m hoping to get sprinklers installed into my lawn now that I’ve done some fixing up on it and having a qualified professional is important to me so I don’t lose water. It’s amazing to think that having a properly efficient system could save me up to 30% in water use; I’ll definitely discuss efficiency options when I’m looking for quotes.
